School's Out

Rubi's homeschool group (first semester)

Best Dad ever! Super cute too.
Thankful to start summer and spend as much time at the beach as possible with our little sweeties. Or, go to a late night movie, spend time with family and old time friends and most excited to see Gina and the boys from Italy. Anxious for summer to start but some great memories of the 2011-12 year.
So very proud of Sweet Dorothy

Times when I am blessed to be at our school. Another successful year at the Pilot Cup

Little video of the coolest band to be in.

In addition to the garden and music room, science and computer labs, the school is now a big part of becoming green. That means trash cans at lunch to separate plastic/paper or add to all those composts. My fav part is PTA went paperless. Super cool for the kids to learn and apply this since we are not so great at home (trying to get better though).

Sofia was quite in awe over her teacher this year and thankful to get him for her 6th grade year as well.

Bella had to have extra paper for her description.

We were a able to join her at the Aquarium of the Pacific and loved every minute.

By far the best choir and band taught by the fabulous Mr. S. Bella is excited to join Sofia up on that stage.

Our big graduate from preschool. Tears start just thinking she will be gone until 3 everyday. Wah!

Great project called Create a Skate. Kids learn how to apply all skills from math and science to engineering. Every school should do this organization. Sofia's was amazing!

Talent show was a shinning moment for our girls. Sofia and and her sweet friend Selah.

WE WELCOME YOU SWEET SUMMER!

Chalkboard Room

We can't get over how much fun the new chalkboard paint is. Love how cozy the black wall, white bedding and furniture all make it feel. Bella wants a "native" touch so now onto homemade dreamcatchers, aztec fabric's and some other fun finds. Can't wait to finish.

So lovely!

Nope, he didn't get me a VW bus with love on it (one day...) but he did get me the sweetest jewelry holder ever!
The girls were overjoyed when they were called out of class to pick up a special delivery from Daddy asking, "will you be my valentine?"
Such a lovely day!

#1 Champs!

It was a water weekend. 9 water polo games, a boat ride around the harbor and a quick paddle with the babies on board. Congrats to Grey and Sofia who both got first place, nationally ranked. I have to laugh at one of the pictures that all the parents are trying to get of the kids. So sweet of the Ogo's and Martinez for driving out to watch (and now having to pay for a parking ticket.) We love you guys! Fun Little article although they misspelled Sofia for another little girl.

LOVE Comes Early

Although Valentines Day is next week we were able to love on Sarah a little early. In return, the Daily Pilot gave us some love. THANK YOU Brittney and Kevin.

We got a get-a-way

Weekend of fun memories as we danced the night away, at least Jeff did and met hilarious people. A tattoo parlor in a crazy city will do that to ya. Experienced crazy food, sushi could be called that if you're new to it and cracked up a lot. A much needed get away.
Its a tradition for a pre party drink in our hotel, even if you have to squint your eyes after you sip.
Shauna in a bit of pain after a tattoo, yep, she did it.
Its fun to meet up with the boys after they have been on the golf course during the day.

Thank you jeffy for teaching me the "right" way to dance. What would I do without you?
 Until next year, Gas Lamp.

Good bye Table

My mom and Sofia picked up this coffee table which had major potential with a shelf and metal feet. Instead of the work, we got mod podge and paper at Paper Souce and made her pretty for another craigslist item. But, I will miss this one.

Going Horizontal

After a camping trip, we rolled on up to our house with sixteen freshly pruned rose bushes and a rotten ten year old picket fence for all to see. We were forced to have a new fence and we're goin' horizontal.

So great having a hubby to make our dreams come true. We were inspired by the OC Mart Mix by how the wood was combined with metal but we'll have a couple way better surprises.

Although the rain came our rockin friends and family powered through. Yep, all that grass and dirt is outta here. Soon, a couple great spots to chat with the hood and watch the kids scooter and bike around. Thanks again Trav, Grandad, Donny, Tim, Trent and Filemon.

I am freaking out and excited to say, to be continued...

Its Been Real

Happy birthday to the Harp's! These two five year olds are PRECIOUS!
Been Goodwilling and flipping my finds for some fabcash (fabric cash). Fabric hunting seems like an everyday deal. I want the best deal or no deal! Its fabulous when you come upon a Trina Turk, West Elm or other special prints for $3.99 a yard. I really badly want to get some curtains up but I just can't find that perfect stripe.
Dorell Fabric Outlet
A couple of cuties and one little mischievous girl at neighbors for din din. Have I mentioned we have the best neighborhood with the best cooks in town.

Oh, I went red, well, kinda pink. Woops!

Navy Seal Challenge

U12 rocked the challenge as they ran 1 1/2 miles, sit ups, push ups, pull ups and a 500 yard swim. So proud of them!
